New Office Building in Tokyo

A newly built office building project in central Tokyo. In addition to centralized control and management of lighting throughout the entire building, the office floors are equipped with a system that allows each user to adjust desk‑level lighting—both brightness and color temperature—as well as air‑flow volume via their own smartphone app. With a location‑detection system, users can simply tap the buttons displayed on the app to control the equipment at the desk they are currently using, ensuring simple, intuitive operation without the risk of accidentally controlling another workstation. Furthermore, automated functions such as sensor‑based lighting shutoff and VAV control contribute to improved energy efficiency. Good Design Award 2025 Winner.
